Now the covid 19 lockdown has been relaxed a little we are happy to announce flying has resumed, BMFA guidelines are being met and precautions are in place for a safe environment for all our members.

We are a fun and friendly club and welcome new members that would like to learn to fly model aeroplanes or are already experienced in the hobby. We have been established for more than 40 years, flying at our site at Nottingham Racecourse near the village of Colwick on the outskirts and to the east of the City of Nottingham.
We are a BMFA affiliated club, flying model aircraft  in accordance with their rules and regulations, and are covered by our own insurance policy as it is mandatory we all have bmfa insurance cover. We are mainly a fixed wing club but some members do fly helicopters and multi rotor aircraft. Please note that  we currently only have the facilities to teach new members to fly fixed wing.

Sat 21st of March Trent Mfc Held one of the first training sessions for the up and coming session it was a cold windy day but didn’t stop anyone flying the awesome planes

The BMFA consider that model flying represents a low risk activity due to the outdoor nature of the activity. They intend to continue with the programme of outdoor events through the summer, subject to changes in government policy. Anyone exhibiting symptoms or in a high risk group or in contact with a family member exhibiting symptoms, should follow the relevant government advice.
